Air Quality Impacts of CicLAvia

On June 20, 2015 at the Breathe Los Angeles offices, Dr. Yifang Zhu (left) Associate Professor of EHS, Dr. Guy Soo Hoo alumnus of the Fielding School of Public Health (middle) and Christina Batteate (right) Project Manager for the Sustainable Technology & Policy Program, presented the results of their study "Car-Free CicLAvia Sundays: a natural air-quality experiment." Their study found that CicLAvia Sunday significantly reduced traffic flow as well as on-road ultrafine particles and PM2.5.   Also included in the picture is Enrique Chiock (end) CEO of Breathe California, Los Angeles County.
