Aim of the Program |
The MPH is a professional degree for students who wish to approach public health problems by applying disciplinary approaches and methods in professional environments. The MPH degree focuses on public health practice. | The MS is a science-oriented degree designed for students who wish to acquire a broad look at the issues important in environmental health as well as a deeper understanding of the science behind them. |

All EHS master's students take Public Health 200A and 200B, Public Health 401, Biostatistics 100B, EHS C200B and C200C, EHS 20D, EHS C240, EHS 257 and EHS 411.

Career Trajectories |
The MPH is preparation for employment within local, state, or national public health agencies and health care organizations. The MPH is also preparation for medical school for some students. Examples of jobs for our MPH graduates are given below.
